George Coakley joined the firm on January 1, 1980 and became a partner three years later. Since joining the firm, George's litigation practice has covered nearly every specialty area from bankruptcy to white collar crime to professional liability (architects, accountants, physicians, lawyers, insurance agents and realtors) to commercial litigation and employment litigation. He has tried over 100 first chair jury trials including legal, medical and accounting malpractice cases; real estate disputes; employment cases and commercial litigation; argued hundreds of cases in the courts of appeal throughout Ohio and argued 5 cases before the Ohio Supreme Court.

George is a frequent speaker at seminars, principally on subjects relating to the representation of lawyers and alternative dispute resolution.
